Finned Jellyfish

Fish & Wings21 / 32

The biggest fish, imperfect — the fin still bites in its box.

A Jellyfish spoiled by one or two extra candidates in a single base row, huddled in one box. The full eliminations are off the table, but the fin's box keeps its share.

The reasoning is the same split as with the smaller finned fish: either the fins are false and the clean Jellyfish fires, or a fin is true and owns its box. Cells hit in both scenarios are safe eliminations.

Step 1 of 4

The setup

When four rows almost confine a digit to four columns but one row spills over, check whether the spill fits into a single box together with a covered column. Step through this real position to see it happen.

Practice

Find the finned Jellyfish and clear its digit from the covered cells inside the fin's box.

Drill 1 of 29

Tap a cell, then the candidate digit you want to remove.
